#RideTheRidge: A Homegrown Movement to Reconnect the Ridge by Trail
Built by Locals, For Locals
Ridge Trail Co-Op was founded by a group of local riders, trail builders, and lifelong residents who believe outdoor access isn’t a luxury, it’s a lifeline.
We’re not a big out-of-town organization. We’re your neighbors. We’ve dug dirt in your parks, fixed flats on your fire roads, and now we’re asking to do something bigger with you.
What #RideTheRidge Stands For
The #RideTheRidge project is more than just mountain biking. It’s about:
Creating access to trails that connect neighborhoods and natural spaces
Rebuilding connection to the outdoors and with each other
Partnering with purpose - with landowners, agencies, and our community
We envision a trail network that flows from the southernmost Ridge of Paradise, stretching north through Inskip, and connecting to our neighbors in Concow linking communities across the ridge through trails open to hikers, bikers, and future generations.
These are bold, long-term goals but like any great trail, we must start with a solid foundation. That means beginning small, building partnerships, and laying each mile with care, purpose, and community at the core.
Where We’re Headed
We are currently working on:
Finding and building new relationships in the community
Creating a Ridge Trail CO-OP community ride day
Meeting with local land stewards
Fundraising for trails, tools, signage, and CO-OP funding
Join the Movement
If you’ve ever dreamed of riding singletrack through tall pines just minutes from your front door or believe in the power of trails in a community this is your call.
Follow the project, volunteer, or support the cause.
Let’s make the Ridge something we can ride, share, and protect—together.
